I saw this dish on Diners, Drive ins and Dives by Guy Fieri, and thought it would be a much simpler and quicker recipe for making Potatoes Au Gratin for our cooking community. This recipe requires no potatoe peeling and cutting. There is a delicious breadcrumb parmesan cheese crusty topping that looks so good when it comes out of the oven, and adds so much taste and texture. Enjoy!

Ingredients

• 1 package (30 oz.) hash browns potatoes, shredded
• 1 can of cream of celery soup
• 1 can of cream of chicken soup
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 cup (medium) onion, chopped
• 1 cup (8oz.) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
• salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tbsp garlic powder

Topping Ingredients

• 2 cups Italian bread crumbs
• ½ cup parmesan cheese
• ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
3. Combine soups, sour cream, cheese, onion, and water.
4. Add thawed potatoes.
5. Salt and pepper to taste.
6. Pour mixture into baking dish and spread evenly.
7. Topping: mix thoroughly bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and melted butter.
8. Spread topping over mixture in baking dish.
9. Bake covered for 1 hour.
